The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Sunday, thunderstorms will increase this evening, Sunday, in the southwestern regions, and are expected to be good to heavy, especially in (Ghat and its surroundings - Al-Qatrun - Al-Barakt - Tigerhi - Al-Wigh and the Akakus Mountains), which caused valleys to flow.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, September 15, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase from time to time, interspersed with scattered rain today and Tuesday in some areas, and may be good accompanied by thunderstorms, which cause local valleys to flow.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, sometimes active in some coastal areas.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (26-31°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, sometimes increasing, especially tomorrow, with the possibility of scattered rain in some areas of the Green Mountain, especially (the Gulf - Benghazi Plain), which may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northwesterly, moderate to active in speed sometimes in most areas.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (25-30°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, sometimes increasing, with the possibility of thunderstorms in some areas, especially (Ghat - Al-Qatrun - Al-Barakat - Akakus Mountains and border areas with Algeria), which could cause valleys to flow. NCM warned the public to be cautious.
- Wind: Northeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (36-38°C) and not exceeding (34°C) today in Al-Jufra areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy, sometimes increasing in some areas.
- Wind: Northeasterly to Northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active in the Al-Wahat region.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-40°C) and it is not expected to exceed (35°C) in Jalu.
