The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, most of the northwestern region will witness an increase in clouds with occasional rain, especially in the areas extending from (east of Tripoli to Misrata - Yafran - Gharyan - south of the mountain - Al-Araban - Al-Jafara Plain - Tarhuna and its surroundings - Emsalata - Sirte - Bani Walid and its surroundings - south of the regions from Al-Khums to Misrata) accompanied by thunderstorms and good to heavy rain in some of these regions, which could cause the flow of local valleys, and the accumulation of water in low-lying areas with active to strong wind sometimes during thunderstorms and the possibility that these rains will be accompanied by hail.
The NCM also expected in its daily bulletin that clouds will increase from time to time in the northeastern regions with a chance of light and scattered rain in the Green Mountain and Gulf regions, and temperature will remain moderate in the northern and central regions and relatively high in the southern regions.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Sunday, September 22, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are increasing in the areas of Ras Ajdir to Sirte, the Jfara Plain and the Western Mountain, with scattered rain falling from time to time, accompanied by thunderstorms, especially in the areas located (east of Tripoli to Sirte - Yafran - Gharyan - south of the mountain - the Jfara Plain - Tarhuna and its surroundings - Emsalata - Bani Walid - south of Al-Khums to Misrata), and it is good to heavy in some of these areas, which could cause valleys to flow and water to accumulate in low-lying areas.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active due to the descending wind from the thunderstorms.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (28-33°C)..
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will also multiply from time to time over the Gulf regions and the Benghazi Plain to Emsaad, sometimes accompanied by scattered rain, especially over the Gulf and Green Mountain regions.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, turning tomorrow to easterly to southeasterly over the Gulf and Benghazi regions.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (28-32°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will multiply from time to time over the regions of Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames, Hamada and some border areas with Algeria, accompanied by scattered rain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northeasterly to southeasterly to variable in direction, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (36-42°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy over the area.
- Wind: Northeasterly, light to fast.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-40°C).
