The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that thunderclouds continue to multiply from time to time in the far south-eastern areas (the border areas - Al-Awaynat - Al-Sara - the Tibesti Mountains - some areas of southern Kufra) with a chance of good to heavy rain.
The NCM expected, in its daily bulletin, that the weather will be relatively mild in most regions of the country, with high humidity in the northern regions, especially coastal regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, August 08, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds sometimes increase over the area.
- Wind: Light to moderate, northerly to northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (30-36°C) with relative high humidity in coastal areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northerly to northwesterly, active at times.
- Temperature: Ranges between (30-35°C) with relative high humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly moderate, sometimes active over Ghadames and Al-Hamada.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-42°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Proliferation of thunderclouds from time to time in the far south-east (the border - Al-Awaynat - Al-Sara - the Tibesti Mountains - some areas south of Kufra) with a chance of good to heavy rain.
- Wind: Light to moderate northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (38-42°C).
