The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, in its daily bulletin that the weather fluctuations affect the northwestern regions with a chance of moderate to heavy rain on (coastal regions from Ras Jadir to Misrata and the interior regions - Jafara Plain – Nafusa Mountain regions - Tarhuna - Misrata - Bani Walid), and will be heavy today evening and tomorrow, especially in the Greater Tripoli region, which could cause some valleys to flow and a rise in water levels in low-lying areas, and perhaps limited flooding in some other places with active to strong wind.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, December 05, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Moderate to heavy rain from noon today and, Friday, on (the coastal areas from Ras Ajdir to Misrata and the inland areas - the Jafara Plain - the Nafusa mountain area - Tarhuna - Maslata - Bani Walid) and will be heavy, especially in the Greater Tripoli area, accompanied by thunderstorms at times, which could cause some valleys and torrents to flow and the water level to rise in low-lying areas.
- Wind: Southwesterly, gradually turning today to northwesterly, active to strong in speed on the coastal areas, which may reach (60) km/hour.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (10-18°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: There is still a chance of scattered rain in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, and it will be good today in the areas extending from (Benghazi to Green Mountain), accompanied by thunderstorms, which may cause water to accumulate in low places and some local valleys to flow.
- Wind: Scattered rain from time to time in most areas extending from (Ajdabiya - Benghazi to Green Mountain) accompanied by thunderstorms at times.
- Temperature: Ranges between (16-21 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are increasing in the areas of Al-Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Al-Hamada, with the possibility of scattered rain.
- Winds: Variable in direction to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (17-22 °C), and will record a decrease on Friday in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are also increasing at times in the area.
- Wind: Variable in direction to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (20-23°C).
