The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected clouds to multiply from time to time in the southwestern region of the country (Sabha - Hun - Ghadames - Hamada - the far southwestern regions, sometimes interspersed with scattered rain, and the opportunity includes from this evening some areas of the northwest (the areas extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - the Jafara Plain, the Nafusa Mountain - Tarhuna - Mslatta Bani Walid and its surroundings), and the opportunity for rain is better in these areas on Saturday.
The Center expected in its daily bulletin that the opportunity for rain would extend to include the Gulf regions tonight, and tomorrow the regions of (Benghazi - Marj - Green Mountain - Derna), and the opportunity is better than on Saturday evening in these regions, sometimes accompanied by cells of thunderclouds, and temperature ranges between (12-18°C) in the northern regions and between (17-22°C) in most areas of the south, and decrease on Saturday in most areas.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, January 02, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds multiply from time to time in the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountain, interspersed with scattered rain, The opportunity is better on Saturday.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active in some areas, turning to northwesterly on Saturday.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (12-18°C) expected to decrease on Saturday.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds also increase from time to time in the Gulf regions and the Benghazi Plain up to Emssad, sometimes interspersed with scattered rain, and the opportunity is better as of Saturday, especially on the Green Mountain.
- Wind: Southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, turning on Saturday evening to northwesterly then northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (14-18 °C), expected to decrease from Saturday evening.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increasing from time to time in most areas, sometimes interspersed with light rain.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate in speed, turning to northwesterly tomorrow evening.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (18-21 °C) reaching (26°C) in Ghat, and expected to decrease from tomorrow evening in most areas.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear in the areas of Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra, sometimes multiplying in the oases.
- Wind: Easterly to southeasterly, moderate in speed, turning on Saturday evening to westerly then northwesterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (17-20°C), expected to decrease from Saturday evening.
