The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Thursday, Thunderclouds to multiply this morning over Sirte and in the evening over (Gharyan-Yefran-Tarhuna) and their surrounding areas with a chance of scattered rain that may be good to heavy at times and the chances are better over most areas of the northwest starting tomorrow evening.
NCM expected in its daily bulletin that temperature will record a rise today in the northeastern regions where they range between (35-40°C) and will decrease from this evening with chances of rain including some areas of the northeast (Benghazi Plain - Al-Bayda - Shahat - Al-Marj to Derna), and thunderclouds will also multiply over some areas of the southwest (Ghat and its surroundings - Al-Hamada and Al-Jufra) interspersed with scattered rain.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Thursday, September 19, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: An increase in thunderclouds this evening and tomorrow morning in most areas, especially the area extending from (east of Tripoli to Misrata and some areas of the interior and the Nafusa Mountain), accompanied by good rain that may be heavy at times, causing water to accumulate in low places.
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, moderate in speed, active in the evening due to thunder cells.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-34°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds increase from time to time in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, especially the Green Mountain areas with the possibility of scattered rain.
- Wind: Northeasterly to northwesterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (29-34°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, with occasional clouds, interspersed with scattered rain in the regions of Hamada - Ghadames - Ghat and its neighbouring area.
- Wind: Variable in direction to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (38-41°C), will record a decrease on Saturday in most regions.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds will appear in the regions of Al-Wahat, Al-Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-42°C).
