The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects that most regions of the country are witnessing relatively moderate temperatures with high relative humidity in the northern regions, especially the coastal regions. Clouds are increasing today in some areas of the mountain and its south - Bani Walid and its vicinity, accompanied by thunderstorms and the possibility of scattered rain.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that thunderclouds would increase from time to time, starting from this evening until the end of the week, in the regions of the far south-east (the border regions with Chad and Sudan), accompanied by scattered rain, sometimes good, tomorrow, extending to include the regions of southern Kufra.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, August 06, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds in the areas of Ras Jadir, up to Sirte, the Jafara Plain, and the Nafusa Mountain, while thunderclouds will increase today over some areas of the Mountain and its south - Bani Walid and its vicinity, which may be accompanied by scattered rain.
- Wind: Light to moderate, sometimes active northeasterly wind.
- Temperature: Ranges between (30-33°C) in coastal areas with high relative humidity, and between (34-39°C) in the interior.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Moderate northwesterly to northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (30-35°C) with high relative humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Northeasterly and southeasterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-42°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderclouds will increase starting this evening in the areas of the oases, Al-Sarir, Tazerbu and Kufra, especially in the far south-eastern areas (the border areas with Chad and Sudan). The opportunity will be better tomorrow, extending to include the areas south of Kufra, accompanied by good rainfall at times
- Wind: Light to moderate northeasterly wind.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-43°C).
