Weather Forecast

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, Tuesday, that rainy thunderstorm clouds will continue to multiply from time to time over the southernmost regions, especially the border ones, and temperature will record a relative rise in the northwestern regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, as follows: 
    
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Mostly clear.
- Wind: Northeasterly to easterly, light to moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-34°C) in coastal areas, and between (35-38°C) in the interior, with relative high humidity, especially in coastal areas, and a slight increase will be recorded tomorrow.

2.    Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition:    Clear to few clouds, and clouds expected to increase at times over the Green Mountain. 
- Wind: Northwesterly to northerly at moderate speed, sometimes active over Derna and the far eastern coast.
- Temperature: Ranges between (31-33°C) with relatively high humidity in coastal areas.

    3.    Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderclouds increase from time to time over the south of Qatrun, interspersed with good rain.
- Wind: Southeasterly to southwesterly, light to moderate.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-42°C).

  4.  The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Thunderclouds increase from time to time, especially in border areas with Sudan and Niger (Tibisti and Awaynat Mountains), with good rain falling, causing some local valleys to flow. The NCM issued warnings as there is a chance of rain may extend to include Kufra its surroundings, and Tazirbo, but the effectiveness of these clouds will decrease starting tomorrow.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate speed, sometimes active due to influence of downdrafts from thunder cells.
- Temperature: Ranging between (38-40°C), but not expected to exceed 35°C in Kufra.
