The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expects the northern regions of the country to witness scattered rainfall, which will be good today in the regions (Gulf of Sidra - Ajdabiya) and tomorrow in the regions extending from Benghazi to the Green Mountain, accompanied by thunderstorms, which may cause some local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that the weather will be wintry at the end of the week in the northwestern regions (from Thursday evening to Friday) with a chance of good to heavy rainfall, which could cause some local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, December 03, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are to increase over the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountains, especially the area extending from Khums to Sirte, with light rain showers, and the opportunity is better for good to heavy rain to fall in some places starting from Thursday.
- Wind: Southwesterly to northwesterly, moderate in speed, sometimes active, especially on Thursday in the coastal areas.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (15-21°C), and expected to record a marked decrease from Thursday in most areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: There is an opportunity for scattered rain to fall on the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad. It will be good today in the Gulf of Sidra areas, and tomorrow in the areas extending from (east of Benghazi to the Green Mountain), accompanied by thunderstorms, which may cause water to accumulate in low places and some local valleys to flow.
- Wind: Northwesterly to westerly, moderate in speed, sometimes active when thunderstorms pass.
- Temperature: Ranges between (15-21 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will increase on Thursday evening over the regions of Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Hamada.
- Winds: Variable in direction and light in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (19-22 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Northwesterly to variable in direction and light in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (19-22 °C).
