The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Tuesday, Thunderclouds to multiply during the evening hours in some areas of the northwest with a chance of scattered rain in the regions of Yafran, Gharyan, Al-Araban, Tarhuna and its surroundings, Bani Walid and its surroundings, areas south of Tripoli - Mizdah and Al-Qurayyat - coastal areas from Tripoli to Sirte, and the chance of rain includes some areas of the northeast Gulf - Benghazi Plain - Al-Marj to Derna.
The National Center of Meteorology expects that thunderstorms will increase during the evening in some areas of the southwest (Al-Hamada-Ghat and its surroundings (interspersed with moderate to good rain with active wind in these areas, and the opportunity for rain will be better in the northwestern areas from Thursday evening up to early Friday.
The center also expected in its daily bulletin that temperature tends to be relatively moderate today in most areas of Libya, and will record a rise tomorrow in the eastern regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds are to increase this evening in the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountain, accompanied by thunderstorms with a chance of scattered rain in Yafran - Gharyan - Al-Araban - Tarhuna Bani Walid - areas south of Tripoli, and some coastal areas extending from Tripoli to Sirte.
- Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, sometimes active during the evening.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-35°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds will also increase in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, accompanied by Sometimes thunderstorms, interspersed with scattered rain, especially in the Gulf - Benghazi Plain - Marj to Derna.
- Wind: Northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, turning tomorrow to southeasterly, then southwesterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (29-35°C), expected to rise tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: An increase in clouds from time to time in most areas, accompanied by thunderstorms with a chance of scattered rain in (Ghat and its surroundings - Al-Hamada - Al-Jufra).
- Wind: Southeasterly, then southwesterly, moderate in speed to active in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (37-42°C), expected to make a gradual increase over the next two days.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy.
- Wind: Southeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (36-39°C) with a slight increase tomorrow.
