The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that thunderclouds will increase from time to time over the far south-eastern border areas (with Chad and Sudan) with a chance of good rain falling this evening, which may be heavy, including a chance of scattered rain over the far southern areas of Kufra.
The NCM expected in its daily bulletin that the summer weather will remain relatively mild in most of the country, with high humidity in the northern regions, especially in coastal areas.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, August 07, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds sometimes increase over the area.
- Wind: Light to moderate, northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranges between (30-33°C) in coastal areas with relatively high humidity, and between (34-38°C) in the interior.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing in the evening over the Green Mountain regions, and the possibility of fog appearing early in the morning on the mountain highlands.
- Wind: Light to moderate northeasterly to northerly.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (37-40°C) in the Gulf and Ajdabiya region, and between (31-34°C) in the rest of the region with relatively high humidity in coastal areas.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Some clouds.
- Wind: Southeasterly to easterly, light to moderate.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-42°C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Proliferation of thunderclouds from time to time in the far south-east (border areas with Chad and Sudan) with a chance of good rain falling from this evening, which may be heavy, and may include a chance of scattered rain in the far south areas of Kufra.
- Wind: Light to moderate northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (39-41°C).
