The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected Wednesday moderate temperatures in the northern regions with high humidity, while the temperature will remain high today in southern regions.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, August 21 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing at times tomorrow evening and Friday, with the possibility of light rain, and fog appearing tonight and in early morning of tomorrow in some areas of the Nafusa Mountain.
- Wind: Moderate northeasterly to northwesterly, active at times in some areas.
- Temperature: Ranging between (30-35°C), with an increase of humidity especially in coastal areas.
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds, increasing at times, especially over the Green Mountain areas.
- Wind: Northerly to northwesterly, moderate to brisk at times.
- Temperature: Ranging between (30-33°C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to few clouds.
- Wind: Northeasterly, moderate sometimes active, may cause dust and sand to be stirred up over Ghadames - Al-Hamada and Al-Jafra, and the direction will change to light southwesterly. Moderate speed in the rest of the regions today and gradually turning from tomorrow to a moderate to active northeasterly.
- Temperature: Ranging between (40-45°C). A gradual decline will be recorded starting this evening, especially in Ghadames, Al-Hamada, and Al-Jufra.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear with the appearance of some passing clouds.
- Wind: Variable in direction to northeasterly, between light and moderate speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (41-44°C).
