The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, Wednesday the weather to be rainy from time to time today in some areas of the west of the country and center of the country, where the opportunity is good for rain in (the area from east of Misrata to Sirte and some areas of the southwest), which could cause local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Sky conditions: Good chances for scattered rain to fall in some places and it will be good, especially in (the area extending from east of Misrata and its southern area - Tawarga - to Sirte) accompanied by thunderstorms at times. Which could cause water to collect in low places and the possibility of some local valleys to flow, and effectiveness of the rain clouds gradually decreases from the end of this evening in most areas.
- Wind: Northwesterly to westerly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (12-18°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: There are chances of scattered rain from time to time from this evening and the opportunity is good especially in the Gulf regions accompanied by thunderstorms, and fog is expected in the Marj and the Green Mountain regions.
- Wind: Northwesterly to variable direction, light speed.
- Temperature: Ranges between (14-19 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: There are chances of rain from time to time today and it is moderate to heavy at times in the regions (Sabha and its surroundings - Ubari - Murzuq - Al-Jufra - Al-Fuqaha - Zillah - Al-Harouj) accompanied by thunderstorms, which could cause some local valleys to flow and water to collect in low places, so the public must be careful and cautious
- Winds: North to Northeasterly, light to moderate speed, sometimes active.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (13-16 °C).
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy, sometimes increasing from time to time.
- Wind: Northeasterly to northwesterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (18-20°C).
