The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has expected most western region to witness unstable weather starting today with active wind that sometimes raise dust and cloudy weather with scattered showers. Clouds are increasing today over most eastern regions, with scattered showers over areas extending from the Green Mountain to the far northeast.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its daily bulletin that the chance of rain will be better on Friday in (Ghadames and Hamada - areas from Ras Jadir to Misrata and the interior - Tarhuna - Misrata - Bani Walid - areas of the Nafusa mountain) accompanied by cells of thunderclouds, which may cause water to accumulate in low places and the possibility of some valleys flowing.
The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, March 05, 2025, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Jafara Plain - Nafusa Mountain (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds to increase from time to time over the areas of Ras Jadir to Sirte, the Jafara Plain and the Nafusa Mountains, with scattered rain, and the opportunity will be better on Friday, accompanied by cells of thunderclouds, which may cause water to accumulate in low places and the possibility of some valleys flowing.
- Wind: Easterly to southeasterly, moderate to active in speed, causing dust and dirt to be stirred up.
- Temperature: Ranges in most areas between (17-22°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: An opportunity for scattered rains is expected today in the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, especially the area extending from the Green Mountain to the far northeastern regions.
- Wind: Northerly to Northeasterly, moderate to active at times over the Green Mountain, gradually turning to southeasterly on Friday.
- Temperature: Ranges between (14-20 °C).
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy in the areas of Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames and Hamada, sometimes increasing in Ghadames and Hamada with the possibility of scattered rain, and the opportunity will be better tomorrow evening and Friday.
- Wind: Easterly to southeasterly, moderate to active in speed, stirring up dust and sand in Ghadames and Hamada.
- Temperature: Ranging between (22-26°C), reaching (30°C) in Ghat.
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazerbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Partly cloudy in the areas of the Oases, Sarir, Tazerbo and Kufra, with few clouds increasing this morning in Jaghbub with scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
- Wind: Northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (20-24°C), expected not to exceed (16°C) today in Jaghbub and Jalu.
