The National Center of Meteorology (NCM), expected, Wednesday, Thunderclouds multiply this morning over Sirte and in the evening over (Gharyan-Yefran-Tarhuna) and their surrounding areas with a chance of scattered rain that may be good to heavy at times and the chance is better over most areas of the northwest starting tomorrow evening.
NCM expected in its daily bulletin that temperature will record a rise today in the northeastern regions where they range between (35-40°C) and will decrease from this evening with chances of rain including some areas of the northeast (Benghazi Plain - Al-Bayda - Shahat - Al-Marj to Derna), and thunderclouds will also multiply over some areas of the southwest (Ghat and its surroundings - Al-Hamada and Al-Jufra) interspersed with scattered rain.
The weather bulletin about expected weather conditions in Libya, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, as follows:
1. Area extending from Ras Jadir to Sirte - Al-Jafara Plain - Jabal Nafusa (North West of Libya):
- Sky condition: An increase in thunderclouds over Sirte and this evening over Gharyan-Yefran-Tarhuna and their surroundings with a chance of scattered rain that may be good to heavy at times and include most areas starting tomorrow evening.
- Wind: Northeasterly, light to moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (30-35°C).
2. Gulf - Benghazi plain up to Emssad (North East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds also increase from time to time over the Gulf areas and the Benghazi Plain to Emssad, sometimes accompanied by cells of thunderclouds, interspersed with scattered rain over (Benghazi Plain-Al Bayda-Shahat-Derna).
- Wind: Southwesterly, light to active in speed over some areas, turning from the evening to northeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Range in most areas between (34-40°C), expected to record a decline from this evening tomorrow.
3. Al-Jufra - Sabha - Ghat - Ghadames – Hamada (South West of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clouds multiplying from time to time, accompanied by thunderstorms with a chance of scattered rain in Ghat and its surroundings - Al-Hamada - Al-Jufra.
- Wind: southwesterly to southeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging in most areas between (36-41°C)
4. The Oases - Sarir - Tazirbo – Kufra (South East of Libya):
- Sky condition: Clear to partly cloudy.
- Wind: Southeasterly to northeasterly, moderate in speed.
- Temperature: Ranging between (37-41°C).
