Representatives of Libya's Amazigh presented their demands related to rights and identity to the Presidential Council On Thursday during a meeting between the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and a delegation from the Amazigh Movement Coordination, which includes the Supreme Council of Libya’s Amazigh, along with mayors, elders, and dignitaries from Amazigh municipalities across Libya. 

Menfi stressed the importance of respecting all social components in eastern, western, and southern Libya, highlighting the need for unity and cohesion among all groups as an integral part of Libya’s national identity. He emphasized that Libya’s future depends on collective efforts and prioritizing the interests of the nation above all else. 

The Amazigh delegation expressed their appreciation for the Presidential Council's efforts to achieve national reconciliation and bring together political rivals to restore stability and development in the country. 

The Amazigh demands center on securing full recognition of their cultural and linguistic rights, as well as enhancing their participation in political life. They also called for the enforcement of laws that guarantee their rights as a key component of Libyan society, including the integration of the Amazigh language into educational curricula and official media platforms.
