Libyan authorities have announced the identification of two suspects in the assassination of Major Abdulrahman Milad, widely known by his nickname, "Al-Bidja.
The killing occurred on a road linking Tripoli and the city of Zawiya, according to a statement released by the Attorney General's Office on Tuesday.
Milad was reportedly ambushed while traveling between the two cities. The Attorney General’s Office revealed that forensic investigations led to the identification of the vehicle used by the assailants to approach and flee the crime scene.
Investigators have also identified the weapon believed to have been used in the attack. The Public Prosecution has issued arrest warrants for the two suspects and instructed the Ministry of Interior to carry out the arrests swiftly.
