Libyan Center for Freedom of Press condemns stirring up violence by Pro-Dignity media outlet
The Libyan Center for Freedom of Press (LCFP) has condemned the rise of systematic calls for violence and threats of killing that are being voiced by the TV presenter, Mohammed Emtalel, who works for Libya News Channel, which is a mouthpiece for the Khalifa Haftar-led Dignity Operation.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the LCFP urged Libya News Channel to stop the program presented by Emtalel as it is filled with incitation for killing, threats of kidnap and accusations of treason for journalists and human rights activists in Libya.

“The CEO of the center confirms that Emtalel is involved in igniting violence several times leading to the arrest and torture of a number of journalists and law activists as well as civilians who fell victims of his program on Watan Al-Karama TV in 2014 before it was shut by Egyptian authorities.” The statement continues.
The infamous journalist, Mohammed Emtalel, who is considered one of Dignity Operation and Khalifa Haftar’s mouthpieces, is accused of stirring up violence, kidnap, and killing. He had previously accused a number of journalist of sponsoring terrorist groups and opposing Dignity Operation, and then they were reported as missing and tortured.
