The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, signed a technical agreement with the Chief of Italian Defense Staff, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, to train Libyan special forces.

This deal came during Al-Haddad's visit to the Italian Defense Staff's headquarters in Rome on Tuesday. The agreement was signed in the presence of Italian Deputy Chief of Staff and Commander of Joint Operations Special Forces Admiral, the Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense, the Director of the Training Department, the Commander of the Special Forces, the Military Coordinator of the Libyan-Italian Committee, and the Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Defense, according to a statement by the Libyan Chief of Staff on Facebook.

Dragone hailed the efforts, the exchange of experiences and military cooperation between the two countries, pointing to the importance of the cooperation of neighboring countries in the Mediterranean region to address the security challenges.
