Forces under Khalifa Haftar's command said they had seized El Feel oilfield after they received its control from the security force that was protecting it.

Reliable sources said the force securing the oilfield is still inside and no new forces have entered the field, adding that the Tuareg tribal force itself joined Haftar's forces.

Haftar's forces have also seized control last week of Sharara oilfield after a deal with the force that was protecting it.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) voiced Thursday concern over the latest developments at El Feel oilfield.

Reuters reported an NOC official as saying that they are concerned and following up closely for the safety of El Feel workers.

The NOC has announced earlier that it won't lift force majeure on Sharara oilfield's production until it fact-checks the security status in there, replying to the request of the Petroleum facilities Guard's chief to resume work at the field.
