The spokesman for the House of Representatives (HoR) Abdullah Blehiq formed a communication committee with the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) to tackle the issues and challenges facing the election process with a report due next HoR session.

The HoR convened Tuesday, chaired by Second Deputy Speaker Ahmid Houma, and reviewed the challenges facing the electoral process.

Blehiq said the committee includes a member of legislative and constitutional committee, Interior committee member, defense and national security committee member, justice committee member, and control administration committee member.

The spokesman didn't give a date for the upcoming HoR session or the number of members who attended Tuesday session. Sources said no more than 40 members attended session as west-based members failed to attend due to unavailable flights to Tobruk.

The Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmid Houma discussed, before the session, with the Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Emad Al-Sayeh the latest developments in the electoral process and the work of the HNEC to hold presidential and parliamentary elections as per the HoR election laws.
