The Interior Minister-designate of the Government of National Unity Emad Al-Trabelsi, confirmed that the ministry is working to ease the procedures for the entry of Palestinian citizens into Libya.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior, the remarks of Al-Trabelsi came in a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in Libya, Mohammed Rahal, and his accompanying delegation on Sunday. The two sides discussed the situation of the Palestinian community in Libya, and ways to strengthen and develop relations between the two countries.

The meeting also discussed finding appropriate solutions to all obstacles that would affect the living conditions of the Palestinian community residing in Libya.

"The Ministry of Interior will never hesitate in supporting Palestinians," Al-Trabelsi said, indicating that there is an effort to increase cooperation between the two countries.

"The Palestinian cause is our cause as well." He added, while Rahal hailed the efforts made by the Ministry of Interior to protect and secure embassies and diplomatic missions, saying he was happy to hold the meeting and raise a number of important issues.
