The Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the parallel government, Abdullah Erhouma, opened the activities of the Fifth Libya International Forum and Exhibition for Education and Training, which will be held in the city of Benghazi, during the period from July 15-17. In his opening speech, the Minister of Labor stressed the Ministry’s keenness to develop a five-year plan to address important files, including the training and qualification file.

He pointed to the signing of a number of agreements with think tanks, including the University of Sirte, to hold a scientific conference to align educational outcomes with labor market requirements, a recent study of the labor market, and the launching of an initiative to create Libyan cadres, according to a statement published by the government page on its Facebook page.

Erhouma stressed the importance of supporting the Ministry to create a true partnership between the public and private sectors and exchange experiences, which contributes to reducing unemployment and creating real job opportunities for young people.

The Minister of Labor toured the various pavilions at the exhibition, accompanied by Member of House of Representatives Ibrahim Al-Zaghid, Minister of Local Government Sami Al-Dawi, Director General of the Marriage Support Fund, Head of the Municipal Guard, University Presidents, and Directors of Training Centers and Companies.

A presentation was made to explain the training plan adopted by the Ministry, which includes holding internal and external training courses for job seekers.
