A high-level Libyan military delegation, led by the Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Mahmoud Hamza, has arrived in Turkey for an official visit at the invitation of Turkish authorities.

The delegation was welcomed with a formal reception in Ankara by senior Turkish military officials, including the Chief of the General Staff, his deputy, and the head of military intelligence.

According to a statement released by the General Staff of the Libyan Army, the two sides held a joint military session focused on strengthening security and defence cooperation.

Key areas of discussion included military training programmes, capacity building, and efforts to enhance the operational readiness of Libyan military personnel.

As part of the visit, Major General Hamza and his delegation toured Turkish defence facilities, including drone and aerospace manufacturing sites. They also visited the Army Aviation Brigade, where both sides exchanged expertise and reviewed ongoing technical and technological developments.
