Coordinator of Libyan Political Parties and Blocs expressed in a statement its complete condemnation and growing concern regarding the repeated incidents of murder and verbal, moral, material and physical violence practiced against citizens in a number of Libyan cities and regions, warning local, regional and international parties and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya against "dangerous repercussions that may result from the continuation of the current deterioration, the prevailing frustration, and the absence of a real solution to the Libyan crisis."

The statement came after intense military mobilizations in the city of Al-Zawiya, as its main roads were closed with dirt barriers. The reasons for these movements and the parties involved in them are not yet known.

The statement held the relevant authorities responsible for protecting the lives, property and safety of civilians, and the need to take practical measures to immediately stop acts of violence against them, to achieve and ensure security and stability. It called for an immediate end to incidents of murder, physical violence, forced disappearance and kidnapping, and the incitement of some religious institutions against diversity in Libya, silencing media professionals, journalists, and civil activists and restricting them.

It described these actions as criminal and illegal, and called on the judicial and security authorities to announce the results of the investigations to the Libyan public.

On Saturday, footage circulating on social media showed the spread of dirt barriers on the main roads in Al-Zawiya, including the coastal road, and a statement issued by those who called themselves “the tribes of the city of Al-Zawiya” rejected what it described as “an attempt by some hidden, infiltrated and paid parties to stir up strife among the social components in the city, to destabilize security, and implement the destructive agendas of some hidden parties".
