The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah confirmed that his government has accepted the sub-committees' notes on the approved lists of loan beneficiaries to ensure that the selection is according to the criteria which will be announced, reiterating the need to start the second stage of the program.

Dbeibah's remarks came in a meeting on Sunday evening with the Higher Committee for Youth and Needy Families Housing to follow up on the observations received from the sub-committees.

"The committees should work professionally to complete the second phase and cover the rest of the municipalities that did not submit lists of beneficiaries." Dbeibah said.

The Head of the Supreme Committee, Badr Al-Deen Al-Toumi, said that 9 municipalities out of 134 ones submitted letters urging to stop the list referred by them for review, saying that those letters were dealt with, confirming the initiation of the second phase of the program.

Several municipalities called on the Government of National Unity to reevaluate the lists of beneficiaries of housing loans through a specialized, impartial committee to he appointed by the government, citing the fact that many names on those lists didn't meet the conditions.
