The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, inaugurated Monday the resumption of third ring road project – 23.8 km – which was suspended in 2011, and said it would be done in four stages: Ghout Al-Shaal to airport road and Salah Al-Deen crossroads on the second ring road to the beach area near Mitiga airport.

The launching of the resumption was attended by the Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and a number of officials as well as the officials from the Egyptian coalition of firms that are working on the project.

The two sides also signed contracts for new road projects, including Ajdabiya-Jalu – 252 km – and Ubari-Ghat – 360 km – in addition to four major bridges, fourth ring road crossroads’ bridges and roads, Benghazi airport road, and sewage treatment stations in Sabha and Ajdabiya.

Last September, the Government of National Unity signed contracts with an Egyptian coalition of companies for the building of the third ring road in Tripoli for 4.263 billion dinars.
