The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah met in Tripoli on Monday the United Nations (UN) Undersecretary General for Political and Peace Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, in the presence of the UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis.

The meeting saw a discussion of Government of National Unity's efforts and the active role of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission, with a focus on supporting the latter to implement its Action Plan to withdraw foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.

DiCarlo said she was pleased to represent the UN Secretary General in the upcoming Libya Stability Initiative conference that will take place in Tripoli on next Thursday.

The meeting also saw a discussion about illegal immigration and the challenges facing Libya, with the UN and Libya reiterating the need for cooperation among all countries related to this issue to find a real solution.
