The Libyan Foreign Ministry has denounced the description of the UN humanitarian coordinator Yacoub El Hillo of cutting water supplies and electricity on Tripoli as "individual act".

The Foreign Ministry denounced in a statement the insistence of the UNSMIL, since the start of the offensive against Tripoli, not to name the aggressor and call out his crimes and violations despite his own admission to them in public, saying such an approach encourages criminals to commit more atrocities.

"Describing these acts as individual by the UN, despite their frequent occurrence in areas under Haftar's command, means the UN is directly exonerating the persons ordering such crimes, which is the same style used by the UNSMIL to word a statement in the wake of attacks on hospitals, most recently Al-Khadra hospital." The statement reads.

The statement says the Foreign Ministry is documenting these crimes to later send them to the concerned authorities and international organizations with all inclusive evidence, with confessions by Haftar's fighters admitting to carrying out such crimes.

It also reiterated the Health Ministry's appeal to protect hospitals and civilian infrastructure, calling on the UNSMIL in Tripoli, which also was attacked by Haftar's forces, to take full responsibility by cooperating with the GNA to depict and document the violations that amount to crimes against humanity.

El Hilo said in a statement Friday that cutting off water and shutting down gas supplies to power plants, which he condemned, were individual acts without referring to who ordered those acts or under whose control lie areas in which those acts happened.
