The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said that his government is working to establish the High Council for Vocational Education and Training, saying that the Council's tasks will include drawing up policies for education in all its stages and specializations, maintaining the strategic plans set by specialists and ensuring their implementation in the long term.

Dbeibah added as he participated in the meeting of the High Council of Libyan Universities, that everyone, including university professors, should open up more to the world, saying some students surpassed their academic professors by using technology in learning.

He instructed the Ministry of Higher Education to form a committee of specialists and academics and to choose one of the competent authorities to supervise carrying out a “national survey” to take the opinion of the Libyan people on the road map after holding elections had been disrupted.

Dbeibah decided to form a commission to oversee the payment of Libya's dues to international and regional organizations, especially higher educational ones.
