Libya's HoR scraps budget bill discussion from Monday session
The spokesman for the House of Representatives (HoR) Abdullah Bliheq said the session on Monday was suspended and would be resumed Tuesday to discuss 2021 budget bill.
Bliheq said Monday that the HoR session in Tobruk was for the final report of financial and budget and planning committees of the HoR to later vote on the budget bill based on their amendments and recommendations, adding that voting on the budget bill wasn't out on Monday session's schedule from the start.
Bliheq said the HoR isn't responsible for the fake news and media that fabricated news about the budget being discussed on Monday, adding that TV channels or media outlets that circulated such news are responsible for such misleading news.
Sources close to the HoR said it would vote on the budget bill on Tuesday as rejectionists were still objecting to passing it to add more delay to the process of passing the funds.
