Libyan Mufti Al-Saddiq Al-Gharyani said that the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) have lost legitimacy and are making their decisions in line with keeping Libya a torn state, wondering at the same time why "war criminal Khalifa Haftar" is allowed to run for elections despite his crimes in different regions of the country.

Libya's Mufti emphasized in his weekly program on Tanasuh TV channel that holding elections would not be possible with the presence of the two chambers, pointing out that their loss of legitimacy "was fixed through the ludicrous dealing of the international community with them."

Sheikh Al-Gharyani said that educated people and officials should be the first people to denounce "the evil that the two chambers are doing in order to stop the destruction of the country and its entity."

The Mufti pointed out that those who are silent about corruption today do not feel secure for tomorrow, as the empowerment of the oppressors continues.
