The Deputy Head of the Libyan Presidential Council - also Chief Commander of Libyan Army - Abdullah Al-Lafi, ordered a halt of fighting and mobilization by all parties in Ajilat area in western Libya, vowing accountability for all those who harmed civilians or damaged public and private properties.

Al-Lafi said the Interior Ministry and General Staff were instructed to take serious measures against such chaotic acts.

Meanwhile, the Libyan Attorney General, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, reiterated the need to deter criminals and put an end to the lawlessness that took place in Ajilat, where two armed groups - one affiliated with the Interior Ministry and another affiliated with the Stability Support Apparatus that was launched by ex-Head of Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, calshed over the last two days.

Al-Sour said such acts lead to conflicts and social division, so the perpetrators must be held accountable so that their punishment can deter others from repeating such crimes.
