The spokesman for the Presidential Council (PC) Muhannd Younis said the Head of the PC, Fayez Al-Sarraj is supervising the fighting against "Khalifa Haftar's militias" as there would be no dialogue until they are defeated.

In a presser on Wednesday, the spokesman said a ceasefire or a political solution won't take place until the attacking forces are defeated, saying any new dialogue shall have new principles.

He also denied that Al-Sarraj had called for a ceasefire and that they insist on defeating Haftar's attacking forces.

"The call of the PC's Head on the Security Council is an attempt to investigate document violations committed by the attacking forces, not a call for a un mission that helps put in place a ceasefire." Younis added.

He also said that the UNSMIL was silent in a very dubious way toward the attack on the illegal migrants detention center, saying silence toward a crime is a proof of being part of it.

The PC condemned Tuesday Haftar's forces attack on the detention center in Qasir Benghashir, calling on humanitarian and legal organizations to take up their responsibilities by condemning the crimes done by Haftar's forces, reiterating the call on the Security Council to send a facts-finding mission to document the violations of those forces in their attack on Tripoli.
