The Minister of Local Governing, Badr Al-Deen Al-Toumi, approved a comprehensive and intensive training program, which aims to enable elected members of municipal councils to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
This came during a meeting attended by directors of departments and offices concerned with the ministry. They discussed the details of the training program, which cover various aspects of the work of municipal councils, starting from legal and administrative procedures, all the way to digital transformation, urban planning and project management.
Al-Toumi stressed the importance of this program in building the capacities of elected municipal councils, noting that their success is that of the local community as a whole. He also indicated that the Municipal Development and Decentralization Support Center would provide the necessary support to municipal councils during and after the training period in order to ensure the continuity of development and modernization.
