The Head of the Presidential Council, Chief Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Menfi, held a meeting with members of the Defense and Security Council on Monday, in Tripoli, to discuss the security and military situation in the country, according to the media office of the Presidential Council.

The Defense and Security Council includes the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Haddad, the Head of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Hussein Al-Ayeb, the Designated Minister of Interior Emad Al-Trabelsi, the Chief of Staff of the Infantry Forces, Major General Al-Fitouri Gharibil, and the Head of the Internal Security Agency, Major General Lutfi Al-Harari.

Earlier on Monday, Menfi chaired an expanded meeting held at the headquarters of the Audit Bureau in Tripoli, which included the member of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, the Head of the Audit Bureau, Khalid Shakshak, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq Al-Kabir, the Designated Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, and the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumua, as well as the advisor to the CBL governor, Mustafa Al-Manae.

Hokoometna platform said on its Facebook page that the meeting came within the framework of implementing the disclosure and transparency plan, following up on government spending, discussing the necessary development projects and the importance of activating them, ensuring their geographical distribution, and activating local development through supporting municipalities.
