‎The Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Council (PC) for Elections and Legislative Councils, Ziyad Daghim, confirmed that the PC decisions are acts of sovereignty, saying they are not subject to the administrative judiciary but to the constitutional judiciary, noting that the Supreme Court confirmed these principles in its recent rulings.

In the first response to the judicial ruling issued against the High Commission for Referendum and National Survey, Daghim explained that if there is a judicial ruling against it, they will wait for it officially and review the reasons for the ruling as well as the status of the appellant and their entitlement as a stakeholder, stressing that the ruling will be referred to the competent Supreme Court.

In a statement to Fawasel media platform, Daghim confirmed that the High Commission for Referendum and National Survey is a modern, creative entity, and that it will continue its work until a final ruling is issued by the Supreme Court, stressing that its work will reach every home and every citizen over the age of 18.

Regarding the ongoing crises, he pointed out that the only solution is to return to the people and resort to them to settle disputes, considering that in the presence of a young and educated president, we are counting on modern youth and the civilized elite to educate the people about the importance of the Commission expressing their free voice in determining their future.

Meanwhile, Benghazi Court of Appeal issued a new ruling on Sunday suspending the implementation of the Presidential Council's decision regarding the establishment of the Commission. The court announced its acceptance in form of the appeal submitted by the parallel government, which based its appeal on what it described as "the Presidential Council's acting outside the authority of its powers."
