The Libyan Anti-Illegal Immigration Authority said Friday it had shut down the illegal immigrants' center in Al-Khuma - eastern Tripoli - and sending the migrants to other centers across Libya.
The order also obliged the force running the center to hand over their weapons and ammunition as well as equipment to the Head of the supplies department in the authority.
The reason behind the closure, according to the order, is the report sent by the central region's Chief of Ant-Illegal Immigration Authority.
Last October, the Head of the Ant-Illegal Immigration Authority issued orders to shut down migrants' detention centers as some of them were located in residential areas.
