The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Al-Mahdi Al-Amin, has called on the ministries, and all government institutions, to work to integrate persons with disabilities in the labour force, in accordance with the rights guaranteed to them by law.
The minister's remarks came during his statement on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls on the 3rd of December of each year.
He emphasized it is important for all public entities to abide by the legislation in force in this regard and to take into account the employment of women with disabilities.
"The world celebrates on this day the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which comes in recognition of their humanity and their efforts to challenge their disability and to secure their rights, the minister said.
He underscored that the Government of National Accord (GNA) is working through its institutions to integrate people with disabilities into society and ensure their effective involvement in building their county.
