Libya's Ministry of Defence joined an online session organized by the Italian Military Veterinary Medical School and the Joint Multinational Medical Training Center to discuss the military health regulations for the 5 + 5 Defence Initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Libya was represented by Doctor, Captain, Ayman Al-Mazouhi, and Doctor Muhammad Qurifa from the Military Medicine Service of the Ministry of Defence, according to a statement by the Defence Ministry yesterday.

The session discussed several topics concerned with safety measures on the backdrop of the Covid-19 crisis, such as imposing medical protection in field trials, civil-military cooperation in this regard, and medical management of migrants to mitigate migration risks during the pandemic.

Libya's representatives had the opportunity to present their views and exchange experiences on the promotion and development of medical practices for military health to reduce the impact of the unprecedented global crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Defence Ministry said.
