The Ministry of Interior held a ceremony on Wednesday to mark the graduation of the 7th and 8th batches of ministry recruits and students from the Higher Institute for Officers.
The event, held in Tripoli, was attended by high-profile figures, including Presidential Council Deputy Abdullah Al-Lafi, Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah, and Interior Minister Major General Emad Trabelsi.
PM Dbeibah, speaking at the ceremony, highlighted the importance of the new graduates in strengthening Libya’s security and stability. He described them as a "qualitative addition" to the nation’s security forces and urged them to uphold discipline, protect citizens, and promote justice.
“The graduates symbolize Libya’s unity and diversity, and they bear the responsibility of protecting the homeland and enforcing the rule of law,” Dbeibah said.
Interior Minister Emad Trabelsi also congratulated the graduates, stressing their role in enhancing national security. He announced that the ministry is prioritizing advanced training programs to boost the capabilities of its personnel, adding that 2025 will be the "Year of the Interior Ministry" as part of its commitment to improving security performance across the country.
The ceremony celebrated over 600 graduates, including non-commissioned officers, who completed rigorous year-long training programs at centres in Tripoli, Gharyan, and Zintan.
