The Misrata Council of Elders said Sunday that the solution to Libya's crisis must be purely Libyan without any foreign interference or dictation.
In a statement, the council hailed Tunisia declaration of principles between the GNC and Tobruk Parliament on December 05, saying it is a right step in the right direction that establishes a new phase for the Libyan dialogue.
The council also rejected the UNSMIL's proposed agreement until it includes the amendments of the GNC
"We urge the countries taking part in Rome Conference not to take any steps to adopt the UNSMIL-sponsored government, lest the situations in Libya could deteriorate." It said.
The council also called the UN and the international community to respect the Libyans' choice to hold a Libyan-Libyan dialogue.
