The Misrata Military Council denounced the airstrikes carried out by Dignity Operation warplanes on 9-19 Brigade in Hun town, Al-Jufra, on Monday Morning, leaving injuries and material damage.

In a statement, the military council vowed to strongly react to the shelling of Dignity Operation militias in the right time and place, warning them of venturing to do any actions that destabilize the country.

“The brigade that was targeted in Hun is part of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos and part of the war against IS terror groups in Sirte. It had sacrificed many of its fighters in the war on IS radicals.” The Misrata Military Council added.

Likewise, the media office of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos condemned Monday evening the bombing of the 9-19 Brigade saying it is an attack on all of the forces in Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos operation, ‘which is totally rejected,’ it added.

The spokesman of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos, Mohammed Al-Ghasri, warned all parties of conducting any attacks against the forces that took part in freeing Sirte from IS terrorists.

Dignity Operation warplanes air attacked the 9-19 Brigade on Monday in Hun. The brigade is one of the forces under the command of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos. The airstrikes left one fighter injured and a number of vehicles destroyed.

Several political figures, journalists, and activists decried the awkward silence of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government toward the recurrent airstrikes conducted by Khalifa Haftar’s militias without bothering to denounce them, especially that the target is a force that has been part of the war on IS militants and part of the liberation of Sirte.
