The Attorney General’s Office: removing 31 buildings constructed in violation of the path of the Man-made River system in the city of Benghazi

The Public Prosecutor has ordered the removal of 31 illegal buildings situated on the path of the Man-made River system in the city of Benghazi.

The office said in a statement that it would block all illegal water supply outlets and take additional measures to secure the functioning of the system.

The authorities are monitoring and following up on the illegal buildings built along the water system's path from the Al-Taleha reservoir to Al-Hawari Road in cooperation with the Man-made River Authority, the Public Prosecutor's Office said.

The statement indicated that the measures come in the public's interest and in support of efforts to reduce the negative effects resulting from acts of encroachment on the Man-made River system in Benghazi.
