The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned of heavy rain from Thursday evening and Friday in most areas of the northwest, especially the coastal areas from Ras Jadir to Khums and the interior of the Jafara Plain, the areas of the Nafusa mountain, Tarhuna, Maslata and Bani Walid.
The NCM said in a warning issued Wednesday, that rain will be heavy, especially in the Greater Tripoli area, accompanied by thunderstorms at times, which could cause some valleys to flow and torrents and a rise in water levels in low-lying areas, and perhaps limited flooding in some places, with active to strong wind in coastal areas.
The center called on the public to exercise caution, stay away from valleys and water pools in low-lying areas, be careful when driving motor vehicles, and follow the weather updates issued by the center.
