The Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord is in complete disagreement, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Al-Gotrani revealed on Monday, adding that no solutions have been reached so far.

Speaking to reporters in Skhirat, where heated discussions to pick a new cabinet are taking place, he said members of the Presidency Council are not representing Libya but their interests.

"The Presidency Council is made up of 9 people; they are supposed to represent all Libya, but frankly speaking they all either represent parties, individuals, or private ideologies." He disclosed.

Al-Gotrani also revealed that factional and regional interests are the main obstructions to the concord.

"Most sovereign ministries will be in Tripoli which we refuse," he noted

On Sunday, Ali Al-Gotrani threatened to withdraw his membership again if a defense minister for the government was nominated. He also refused to appoint Al-Mihdi Al-Baraghti for this position and clung to his icon Khalifa Haftar.

The Presidency Council has requested another 10 days to form the government as the deadline given by Tobruk Parliament to the Presidency Council to reshuffle the cabinet has already passed.
