The military operations against the last hideouts of ISIS in Sirte are in high gear, the spokesperson of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos has declared, adding that the radical group is likely to collapse in the coming few days.

Brigadier Mohammed Al-Gosri told reporters on Monday the artillery shelling on ISIS militants is continuing for the fifth consecutive day.

He explained that most of the ISIS militants are hiding inside Ouagadougou Conference Hall, the key strategic location for the group, in addition to pockets in the second residential area and some other areas inside the city.

He also confirmed that ISIS has inflicted huge losses in lives and weapons and that its resistance has declined dramatically.

Meanwhile, sources said that field commander of Misrata-led forces Naji Haman and other fighters have been wounded today in a mortar attack in Zafaran frontline.

On the other hand, the death toll of 2 month-long Sirte clashes has risen to 241 according to sources from Misrata Central Hospital.

The sources added that 1400 wounded fighters are currently receiving treatment in and outside Libya, particularly in Turkey, Italy and Tunisia.
