A force related to the Operations Chamber appointed to secure oil assets has foiled Saturday an attempt by an armed group affiliated with IS/Daesh to storm into Al-Bayda 47 oil field of Al-Khaleej Al-Arabi oil company, which is located near Zilla and Marada towns, eastern Libya.

The Operation Chamber indicated that the IS armed group was defeated and pushed out of the field as the back up for the security force by the Marada townsmen arrived.

Last February, another armed group tried to attack the same oil field but failed as the force of the Operations Chamber that is appointed for securing the oil assets defeated them away.
