The Deputy of the Presidential Council (PC) Head, Abdullah Al-Lafi, chaired Sunday, a meeting to discuss the fuel crisis in the southern region.

The meeting included the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brega Oil Marketing Company and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Directorate Affairs, who heads the government-formed fuel crisis committee.

Discussions focused on the fuel distribution mechanism and the problems faced by the company in this regard.

Al-Lafi reiterated the PC's full support for any efforts and initiatives put forward to alleviate the suffering of the southern region residents concerning the shortage of fuel.

The fuel shortage crisis in the south, especially in Sabha, is adding to the woes of southerners as it is mainly available in the black market at exorbitant prices.
