Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibah held talks with the Secretary-General of the Arab Maghreb Union, Tarek Ben Salem, in Tripoli on Sunday.

The discussions focused on fostering stronger cooperation between Libya and the Union, as well as enhancing ties among the Maghreb countries. 

Key topics included economic integration and the reactivation of the Union’s sectoral committees, covering trade, energy, infrastructure, food security, and education.

The meeting highlighted the importance of resuming the work of these committees to advance regional collaboration and support shared development goals among member states.

The talks also addressed the Union’s role within the African Union framework and the importance of regional cooperation to achieve African integration, stability, and development.
